This newly created role will put you on the ground floor, giving you the opportunity to showcase your entrepreneurial savvy and ability to deliver results in a capital rich company that is growing even as others are cutting back.

To be a good fit for this opportunity you will have extensive experience selling services and a demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships with key decision makers in the telecom industry, ideally in the wireless space. You also will need a proven ability to establish new markets and customers in a highly competitive market, including proactively generating sales leads, following up and closing.

Mobilitie's vision is to be the premier owner/investor and lessor of capital assets to global telecommunications companies. Our carrier-centric business structure allows us to offer infrastructure terms and provide operating excellence against which no other firm can compete, and assists wireless and wireline carriers to preserve precious capital while accelerating network development. Unlike most of our competitors, we have posted substantial growth year over year for each of the past five, including 2008-2009. We expect 2010 to be even better.

What Else You'll Bring to the Table

In addition to the qualifications detailed above, you'll need:
  • A Bachelor's degree; a Master's is preferred.
  • Eight to ten years of sales experience and a proven ability to generate new business and acquire new customers.
  • An extensive established network of contacts in the telecom industry, particularly wireless.
  • An understanding of wireless infrastructure.
  • Outstanding communication skills, a solid technical background and the ability to proactively and convincingly sell the Company's solutions, addressing practical operational applications and leading the way to win the opportunities.
  • Advanced computer skills, including the Internet and Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • The ability to work independently and as a team member while using discretion in decision making and sound judgment in problem solving.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate both informally and formally.
  • A demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous projects.
You also will need to be willing and able to travel nationally up to 50% of the time. Our preference is that you are based out of our corporate headquarters in Newport Beach, CA. However, we also will consider candidates based in the areas of Seattle, WA or Atlanta, GA.

We have extensive relationships in this industry that you can leverage and we're preparing to launch a robust marketing campaign for Mobilitie SMS. Nonetheless, this is a rainmaker role. Your specific activities will include:
  • Developing materials for client meetings including marketing materials, slide presentations, and pricing models.
  • Developing leads through all possible channels including cold calling, networking, trade shows, etc.
  • Developing client proposals with limited information and with minimal guidance partnering with delivery and acquisition teams to ensure success.
